The crust and the uppermost part of the mantle are called lithosphere. Its thickness ranges from 10-200 km from the surface of the earth. All natural earthquakes take place in the lithosphere.

भूपर्पटी और मेंटल के सबसे ऊपरी हिस्से को स्थलमंडल कहा जाता है। इसकी मोटाई पृथ्वी की सतह से 10-200 किमी तक होती है। सभी प्राकृतिक भूकंप लिथोस्फीयर में उत्पन्न होते हैं।
