FAQ No. 1. What is the Computer Number?

Computer Number is an Unique Identification Number, allotted to a candidate after his Computer Number Allotment Application is approved by CEO, DGCA. This is used for appearing in DGCA examinations and for any correspondence with CEO, DGCA. A candidate is authorised to have only one computer number for a particular category i.e. AME or Flight Crew. However for a different category, a candidate is required to obtain a separate computer number under that category .

FAQ No. 2. What is minimum qualification required to register as an AME Candidate in PARIKSHA.DGCA?

The applicant should have passed 10+2 examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board or university or its equivalent.

FAQ No. 3. Requirements/ guidance related to AME Licence examinations are available in which documents ?

Requirements/ guidance related to AME licence examination are in CAR 66 ,Airworthiness Procedure Manual and Airworthiness Advisory Circular available in www.dgca.nic.in website.

FAQ No. 4. Who are NEW Candidates?

Candidates not having any AME Computer number till date from CEO.

FAQ No. 5. Who are OLD Candidates?

All candidates, who have been allotted computer number prior to launch of this portal are OLD candidates.

FAQ No. 6. Who are called PRE 1992 Candidates?

PRE-1992 candidates are those candidates who were in the CEO, DGCA examination system before Computer Number Allotment system introduced, and might or might not have passed / licensed candidates/ BAMEC holders. These candidates to be traeted as NEW in this portal.

FAQ No. 7. Is the Indian mobile number is mandatory for candidates for registration in PARIKSHA.DGCA?

Yes, Indian mobile number is mandatory for all the candidates including foreign candidates for registration in PARIKSHA.DGCA?

FAQ No. 8. Whether two candidates can use same e-mail id/ mobile number ?

NO. Email-id & Mobile Number should be unique for each candidate.

FAQ No. 9. What is different Applicant Type?

Different ?Applicant Type? are BMTO, Trainee, General/Others & Defence.

FAQ No. 10. What is BMTO applicant type?

This is applicable for the candidate of Basic Maintenance Training Organisation approved as per CAR 147 (Basic).

FAQ No. 11. What is Trainee applicant type ?

This is applicable for the candidate of AME Training Institute approved as per CAR Sec 2 Series E-VIII.

FAQ No. 12. What is General/ Other applicant type)?

General is applicable for the candidate of organizations approved under DGCA (e.g CAR-145, CAR-M etc. ) and Others for PRIVATE & UNEMPLOYED candidates.

FAQ No. 13. What is Defence applicant type)?

This is applicable for Serving or retired defence personnel (Ex-Serviceman)/ Paramilitary Serviceses Personnel.

FAQ No. 14. What is Board Verification Certificates (BVC)?

Board Verification Certificates certificate is provided by respective boards to certify the authenticity of Mark sheet of 10th /10+2/10+2 equivalent/Diploma.

FAQ No. 15. For which qualification Board Verification Certificates is required?

It is required for the All Indian & foreign candidate?s Mark sheet of 10th /10+2/ /Diploma/10+2 equivalent.

FAQ No. 16. Is the Board Verification Certificates is mandatory for all NEW candidates before registration in PARIKSHA.DGCA?

Yes. However only Pre 1992 candidates are exempted if copy of Licence/ BAMEC/ BAMEL are uploaded & attached.

FAQ No. 17. Is the Board Verification Certificates is mandatory for all OLD candidates before registration in this portal ?

NO.

FAQ No. 18. Who required Association of Indian Universities (AIU) certificate?

Association of Indian Universities (AIU) certificate is required for those applicants who acquired the Basic Qualification (10+2 or equivalent) from School / Board / University situated in India or abroad and are not recognised by Indian Boards.

FAQ No. 19. Who required 10+2 Equivalent certificate?

10+2 Equivalent certificate is required for those applicants who have not passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, but acquired the Basic Qualification equivalents to 10+2 from School / Board / University situated in India or abroad .

FAQ No. 20. Which are the diplomas do not require 10+2 Equivalent certificate?

For diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronic/ Aeronautical Engineering is not required 10+2 Equivalent certificate as per CAR-66.

FAQ No. 21. Who requires Security Clearance certificates?

AME foreign candidates require Security clearance before applying for Allotment of Computer Number.(except Nepal & Bhutan)

FAQ No. 22. Is it mandatory to have passport for applying for Computer Number?

NO, Passport is not mandatory for Indian candidates. However all foreigner candidates (except Nepal & Bhutan) require valid passport for applying for Allotment of Computer Number. For Nepal & Bhutan candidates should have atleast valid national Id proof of their country.

FAQ No. 23. After submitting of the Registration Form, within how much time the link on the registered email address can be activated?

After submitting of the Registration Form, candidate will receive link on the registered email address. The link MUST be activated within 24 hours only.

FAQ No. 24. If Link is not activated within 24 hours then how the candidate will proceed further?

Candidate needs to re-register.

FAQ No. 25. If name of Institute/ Organization is not available in drop down, then how to complete the Computer Number Allotment Applications?

If name of the organization/ institute is not available in dropdown list, candidate advised to select ?OTHERS? and proceed for Registration. Simultaneously MUST contact Help Desk for adding Organisation/ Institute Name in master database. Application will be aproved after the master list is updated.

FAQ No. 26. Can AME Institute/ BMTO candidate can fill the correspondence address ?

NO, for AME Institute/ BMTO candidates correspondence address will be auto filled after selecting name of AME Institute/ BMTO from dropdown list.However after passing out from the institute candidates MUST change their applicant type to 'General/ Others' and update their correspondance address through 'Update Profile' after log-in.

FAQ No. 27. What precautions to be taken while uploading the photograph ?

Coloured recent passport size photograph as per the details given in User Manual must be uploaded,otherwise application liable to be rejected.

FAQ No. 28. Is it required to send Hard Copy of Computer Number Allotment Applications of NEW/ Pre-1992 Candidates?

YES, candidate needs to take a print the form sent in her/his email ID, paste passport size photograph (same as uploaded) and attach all relevant uploaded document (Attested/ Self attested as applicable) as per list in printed form, in same sequence and send it through speed-post to ?Central Examination Organisation, East Block-III, Level-III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066?. So as to reach CEO within 10 days from the date of online submission.

FAQ No. 29. Is it required to send Hard Copy of Registration Form to CEO of OLD Candidates?

NO, OLD Candidates need not send hard copies of the documents after registration.

FAQ No. 30. As a OLD candidate, I am unable to proceed in PARIKSHA after entering my Computer Number & DOB.

Such candidates are adviced to refer AME User Manual, Para 2C.2 Note. It is also adviced to ensure that the scan copy of D.O.B & Computer Number proof MUST be in PDF format ( max up to 100KB ) and legible.

FAQ No. 31. After Final submition of Computer Number Allotment Application, will the candidate get the Computer Number automatically generated by online system?

After online submission and subsequent received of the hard copies of the same in CEO within 10 days. CEO will scrutinise the same.Successful candidates will be intimated with allotted Computer Number and the rejected candidates [ PART / COMPLETE ] will be intimated with the reason of rejection(s) to the respective registered e-mail Id maximum within 45 days from the receipt of hard copy in CEO.

FAQ No. 32. What is PART rejection of Computer Number Allotment application ?

While scrutinising the application if one or more given data except basic profile (e.g Name,Father's Name,Mother's Name,DOB,Gender & Aadhar Number) found mismatch with the supporting uploaded/ attched documents, the applications are rejected (PART) and intimated to the candidate by email. In such cases candidate should apply again after correcting ONLY the related rejection points and re-submit under SAME TEMP ID.

FAQ No. 33. What is COMPLETE rejection of Computer Number Allotment application ?

While scrutinising the application it is observed that candidate filled the basic profile data WRONG, which found to be mismatching with the respective supporting document. In such cases the applications are rejected (COMPLETE) and intimated to the candidate by email. Then candidate may apply AGAIN as a FRESH candidate with all necessary corrections using the same e-mail id and mobile number, against which a NEW TEMP ID will be generated. Make sure while applying online, data are entered correctly in line with the respective supporting documents.

FAQ No. 34. Is the Computer Number is generated automatically by the system ?

NO,Computer number will be allotted after scrutiny of the online & hard copy of the online submitted application. Successful candidates wiill be allotted Computer Number and the Rejected candidates will be intimated with the reason(s) of rejection to their respective registered e-mail.

FAQ No. 35. How to track the Computer Number Allotment Applications of NEW Candidates?

Computer Number Allotment Applications of NEW Candidates having Temp. Id. may be tracked through ?Candidate Login?.

FAQ No. 36. After Allotment of computer number, what will be candidate login Id?

After Allotment of computer number, candidate login Id will be the Computer Number including prefix ?E-?.

FAQ No. 37. How to check the details of previous PASS paper(s) for OLD candidates?

After successfully registering in this portal all OLD candidates are adviced to MUST check their PASSED PAPER(s)[if any] through the 'Examination History' tab under 'View Detail' after logging through Candidate Login . Any ambiguity observed should be brought to the notice of CEO maximum within 15days from online registration date for necessary correction.

FAQ No. 38. After PART rejection of Computer Number Allotment Applications, what is the procedure to apply again?

After PART rejection of Computer Number Allotment Applications, candidate need to login through ?Candidate Login? and should RE-SUBMIT the application online after correcting all rejection point(s) only. And send the hard copy to CEO as per procedure defined in User Manual. In this case same TEMP ID will remain same.

FAQ No. 39. To update any saved data,when candidate can access 'Update Profile' option ?

Update Profile' option is accessible only after log-in through allotted Computer Number.

FAQ No. 40. If the saved data of OLD candidate found mismatched during registration, then should I continue the registration & submit the form?

YES, registration must be completed with mismatch saved data. Once sucessfully registered, then candidate can modify the mismatch data with the help of Profile Management link after login.

FAQ No. 41. What are the profile data can be directly updated by candidates?

Candidate can update the mobile number, email id,applicant type and correspondence address using profile management link through their login without any verification by CEO, DGCA.

FAQ No. 42. What are the profile data which required mandatory approval from CEO, DGCA after updating?

Name,Father's/Mother's Name,DOB,Permanent Address,Photograph,Signature,Passport/ Visa details etc required prior approval from CEO, DGCA.before updating in data base. Candidate should apply through their log in using 'Update Profile (verification required)' tab .Candidate must ensur that his 'APPLICANT TYPE' and 'Name of Organisation' are updated before applying for any above mentioned updates.

FAQ No. 43. After how much time requested change in profile will be updated after submission of 'Update Profile Application'?

After online submission and subsequent received of the hard copies of the same in CEO within 10 days. CEO will scrutinise the same.Approval/ Rejection will be intimated through the respective registered e-mail Id maximum within 45 days from the receipt of hard copy in CEO.

FAQ No. 44. If, earlier while registering in VIMAN, I have uploaded photograph not as per specification of User Manual,then how to correct the same ?

ALL candidates who had registered till date with wrong/ incorrect photograph are adviced to update their photograph as per specification given in USER MANUAL immediate after successfully registering in this portal. Candidature with improper photograph will be rejected in future examinations.

FAQ No. 45. When photograph is required to be UPDATED for registered candidate ?

ALL registered candidates are adviced to check through 'View Profile' the uploaded photograph first. Specially all pre-VIMAN OLD candidates MUST ensure that the uploaded photographs are of WHITE BACKGROUND and not very OLD with clear visible face [ having similarity with present face] and in correct orientation. If require to be changed should follow the specification of photograph and procedure given in User Manual and apply through 'Update Profile Form' online.

FAQ No. 46. Is it required to update the PHOTOGRAPH time to time ?

If already updated as per requirement then it is NOT REQUIRED. Specially the NEW candidates received computer number through VIMAN/ PARIKSHA in normal circumstances NO NEED TO CHANGE THE PHOTOGRAPH. All such candidates may only update the photograph not before 05 (five) years from the date of last photograph update accepted by CEO.

FAQ No. 47. Is it required to update the SIGNATURE time to time ?

NOT REQUIRED. In normal circumstances once signature is captured correctly NO NEED TO CHANGE THE SIGNATURE unless there is some genuine reason. In that case candidate are adviced to contact help desk.

FAQ No. 48. When candidate can apply for examination ?

Once the Examination Session is declared open through 'Public Notice' in dgca website and in AME Notice Board of 'PARIKSHA' portal, all eligible registered candidate can apply to their desired QPREF through their log in.

FAQ No. 49. How to check the applicability of my QPREF ?

MUST refer the applicable APPENDIX given in User Manual and apply accordingly. While applying online, if any ambiguity observed in the available 'credit matrix' of the software, candidate MUST contact CEO before proceeding.

FAQ No. 50. Is it possible to get different QPREF than the applied QPREF in Admit Card ?

NO, software allots QPREF only on the basis of input received through candidate's log-in. In such cases definately while selecting from drop down menu,candidate had selected WRONG QPREF. Under no circumstances QPREF can be changed after application submission.

FAQ No. 51. My fees deducted from my account through 'Bharatkosh' but NOT received any response from CEO.

As per provision in the software, ALL examination applications submitted SUCCESSFULLY BEFORE THE 2400 HRS OF CLOSING DATE OF PORTAL, are received in CEO for scrutiny. After scrutiny all candidates will either receive Roll Number OR Rejection initimation. Any fees deducted through Bharatkosh AFTER the closing hrs,will NOT be considered under any circumstances NOR be kept in credit against the computer number.In such case candidate may apply for 'Refund of Fees' as per procedure.

FAQ No. 52. How to raise any query to CEO ?

Candidate can raise any query through 'Help Desk' tab.

FAQ No. 53. How to change the password?

To change password candidate should login and select Change Password.
