The Central Board of Secondary Education is issuing the following documents to students, who have passed in Class X/XII Examinations:
1. Marks sheet-cum- Passing Certificate students.
2. Migration Certificate to Class X students who wish to obtain the Migration Certificate
3. Migration Certificate to all the students of Class XIl September 4, 2024
Besides providing the hard copy of the Migration Certificate to the students, the CBSE also provides the soft copy of the certificates in the DigilLocker of the concerned.
The University Grants Commission has already issued a letter to all institutions of higher learning that digital copies of the certificates issued by the Board will be accepted for admission to institutions of higher learning.
CBSE has therefore decided that from the Examinations - 2025 onwards, the hard copy of the Migration Certificate will not be issued to the students of Class XIl and the students of Class X. However, a digital copy of the Migration Certificate will be used by the students for admission to other educational institutions. The fee charged by the CBSE for issuing the Migration Certificate along with the Examination fee in the LOC will also not be charged by the Board.
During the transition period, in case of any requirement for the hard copy of the Migration Certificate, the students will be allowed to make the requests to the CBSE only at "Duplicate Academic Document System on CBSE website" and thereafter, the Migration Certificate will be provided to them as per their request.
CBSE Presently charge the Printing of Documents Fee As:
Up to 5 Years Rs. 250
More than 5 to 10 Years Rs. 500
More than 10 to 20 Years Rs. 1000
The above decisions have been approved by the Examination Committee meeting held on May 24th, 2024 and duly ratified in the Governing Body meeting of the CBSE in its meeting held on June 24th, 2024.
This is for the information and necessary action for the schools, students, parents and other stakeholders.
