पाकिस्तान में बिजली गिरने और भारी बारिश की वजह से 14 लोगों की मौत हो गई. अधिकारियों ने बुधवार को यह जानकारी दी. अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, इसके साथ ही पिछले चार दिनों से जारी बेहद खराब मौसम के कारण कम से कम 63 लोग अपनी जान गंवा चुके हैं. आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण के प्रवक्ता खुर्शीद अनवर ने बताया कि ज्यादातर मौतें पाकिस्तान के उत्तर पश्चिम में स्थित खैबर पख्तूनख्वा प्रांत में हुई हैं. प्रांत में इमारत के ढहने से 32 लोगों की मौत हो गयी, जिसमें 15 बच्चे और पांच महिलाएं शामिल थीं. अनवर ने बताया कि उत्तर पश्चिम में दर्जनों लोग घायल हुए हैं और 1370 मकान क्षतिग्रस्त हुए हैं.
सबसे ज्यादा पंजाब प्रांत में हुई मौतें
पाकिस्तान के पंजाब प्रांत में बिजली गिरने और मकान ढहने की घटनाओं में 21 लोगों की मौत गई जबकि बलूचिस्तान में 10 लोगों की मौत की खबर है. अधिकारियों ने अचानक आई बाढ़ के बाद आपात स्थिति की घोषणा कर दी है. बलूचिस्तान में बुधवार को भी बचाव और राहत कार्य जारी है हालांकि बारिश का खतरा अभी भी बना हुआ है. पाकिस्तान मौसम विभाग के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी जहीर अहमद बाबर ने बताया कि जलवायु परिवर्तन के कारण अप्रैल के महीने में पाकिस्तान में भारी बारिश हो रही है.
