Class 12th Geography Exam Pattern and Paper Format / Blue Print for 2025-26

General Instructions:

1. This question paper contains 30 questions. All questions are compulsory.

2. This question paper is divided into five sections. Sections-A, B, C, D and E.

3. Section A - Question number 1 to 17 are Multiple Choice type questions carrying 1 mark each.

4. Section B- Question number 18 and 19 are Source based questions carrying 3 marks each.

5. Section C- Question number 20 to 23 are Short Answer type questions carrying 3 marks each. Answer to these questions shall be written in 80 to 100 words.

6. Section D Question number 24 to 28 are Long Answer type questions carrying 5 marks each. Answer to these questions shall be written in 120 to 150 words.

7. Section E Question number 29 and 30 are Map based questions carrying 5 marks each.

8. In addition to this, note that a separate question has been provided for Visually Impaired candidates in lieu of questions having visual inputs, map etc. Such questions are to be attempted by Visually Impaired candidates only.

9. There is no overall choice given in the question paper. However, an internal choice has been provided in a few questions in all sections, except Section A.

सामान्य निर्देश:

1. इस प्रश्न पत्र में 30 प्रश्न हैं। सभी प्रश्न अनिवार्य हैं।

2. यह प्रश्न पत्र पाँच खंडों में विभाजित है। खंड- A, B, C, D और E।

3. खंड A - प्रश्न संख्या 1 से 17 तक बहुविकल्पीय प्रश्न हैं, प्रत्येक 1 अंक का है।

4. खंड B - प्रश्न संख्या 18 और 19 स्रोत आधारित प्रश्न हैं, प्रत्येक 3 अंक का है।

5. खंड C - प्रश्न संख्या 20 से 23 तक लघु उत्तरीय प्रश्न हैं, प्रत्येक 3 अंक का है। इन प्रश्नों के उत्तर 80 से 100 शब्दों में लिखने हैं।

6. खंड D - प्रश्न संख्या 24 से 28 तक दीर्घ उत्तरीय प्रश्न हैं, प्रत्येक 5 अंक का है। इन प्रश्नों के उत्तर 120 से 150 शब्दों में लिखने हैं।

7. खंड E - प्रश्न संख्या 29 और 30, मानचित्र आधारित प्रश्न हैं, प्रत्येक 5 अंक का है।

8. इसके अतिरिक्त, कृपया ध्यान दें कि दृश्य इनपुट, मानचित्र आदि वाले प्रश्नों के स्थान पर दृष्टिबाधित अभ्यर्थियों के लिए एक अलग प्रश्न दिया गया है। ऐसे प्रश्न केवल दृष्टिबाधित अभ्यर्थियों को ही हल करने हैं।

9. प्रश्नपत्र में कोई समग्र विकल्प नहीं दिया गया है। हालाँकि, खंड 'क' को छोड़कर, सभी खंडों में कुछ प्रश्नों में आंतरिक विकल्प दिया गया है।
