जनसंख्या :-
जन + संख्या अर्थात् लोगों की संख्या। Population:
Jan + Sankta means number of people.
किसी स्थान पर लोगों की संख्या,
वहाँ की जनसंख्या (Population) कहलाती
है। The number of people in a place is called its population.
जनसंख्या वितरण Population
Distribution:-
जनसंख्या वितरण (Population
Distribution) का अर्थ है – धरातल पर लोग
(जनसंख्या) किस प्रकार वितरित हैं अर्थात् किस प्रकार
रहते हैं। Population Distribution means how people (population) are
distributed on the earth's surface, that is, how they live.
विश्व में जनसंख्या वितरण सम्बन्धी सामान्य तथ्य General Facts about Population Distribution in the World:-
1. 21वीं सदी की शुरुआत में दुनिया की आबादी 6 अरब थी, जो वर्तमान में 8 अरब से ज्यादा है। जिसका 90%
भाग, धरातल के केवल 10% भाग पर बसा है। जबकि 90% स्थल भाग पर
विश्व की केवल 10% जनसंख्या निवास करती है। At the beginning of the 21st century, the world's population was 6
billion, which is now more than 8 billion. 90%
of which is settled on only 10% of the land area. Whereas
only 10% of the world's population lives on 90%
of the land area.
2. दुनिया के 10 सबसे ज़्यादा आबादी वाले देशों, चीन, भारत, USA, इंडोनेशिया, ब्राजील, पाकिस्तान,
नाइजीरिया, बांग्लादेश, रूस
और मेक्सिको में विश्व की 60 प्रतिशत आबादी निवास करती है। इन 10 देशों में से 6
देश अकेले एशिया महाद्वीप में स्थित हैं। 60% of the world's population
lives in the 10 most populous countries of the world,
China, India, USA, Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Russia and
Mexico. Out of these 10 countries, 6
countries are located in the continent of Asia alone.
3. विश्व की 59.5% (4.54 अरब) जनसंख्या अकेले एशिया महाद्वीप
में, 16.9% जनसंख्या
अफ्रीका में तथा 9.7% जनसंख्या यूरोप में पाई जाती है। 59.5% (4.54
billion) of the world's population is found in Asia alone, 16.9%
in Africa, and 9.7% in Europe.
5. देशों के आधार पर देखें तो विश्व की 47% जनसंख्या, कुल चार देशों, जैसे -
21% जनसंख्या (134 करोड़) चीन में, 17% जनसंख्या (121 करोड़)
भारत में, 5% जनसंख्या (32 करोड़) USA में
तथा 4% जनसंख्या (21 करोड़) इंडोनेशिया में पाई जाती है। If we look at the
country-wise distribution, 47% of the world's population
is found in four countries, such as 21% (134 crore) in
China, 17% (121 crore) in India, 5% (32
crore) in the USA, and 4% (21 crore) in Indonesia.
6. विश्व जनसंख्या का 90% भाग उत्तरी गोलार्द्ध में और शेष 10%
भाग, दक्षिण गोलार्द्ध में
पाया जाता है। 90% of the world's population is found in the Northern
Hemisphere and the remaining 10% is found in the Southern
Hemisphere.
7. विश्व की 50% जनसंख्या 20 डिग्री उत्तर अक्षांश से 40
डिग्री उत्तर अक्षांश के बीच पाई जाती है। 50%
of the world's population is found between 20 degrees
north latitude and 40 degrees north latitude.
8. विश्व की 77% (तीन –चौथाई) जनसंख्या विकाशील देशों में तथा शेष 23% (एक – चौथाई) जनसंख्या विकसित देशों में पाई जाती है। 77% (three-fourths)
of the world's population is found in developing countries and the remaining 23% (one-fourth) is found in developed countries.
