सीएनटी एक्ट को 1908 में और एसपीटी एक्ट को 1949 में ब्रितानिया हुकूमत के जरिए लाया गया था। इन दोनों एक्ट का मकसद था कि इससे आदिवासियों और अन्य पिछड़ी जातियों की जमीनें संरक्षित और सुरक्षित होगी। इस एक्ट में यह भी प्रावधान है कि संबंधित क्षेत्र में किसी आदिवासी की जमीन को कोई व्यवसायी अपने हित के लिए नहीं खरीद सकता।
The CNT Act was brought in 1908 and the SPT Act in 1949 through the British government. The objective of both these acts was to protect and secure the lands of tribals and other backward castes. There is also a provision in this Act that no businessman can buy any tribal land in the concerned area for his own benefit.
