26 अप्रैल 1986 को यूक्रेन के चेर्नोबिल न्यूक्लियर प्लांट में एक जोरदार धमाका हुआ था। इससे रेडियोधर्मी कण हवा में फैल गए। ये कण सोवियत रूस से यूरोप तक फैल गए थे। इस हादसे से करीब 4 हजार लोग मारे गए थे और करीब साढ़े तीन लाख लोगों को प्रवास करना पड़ा था। लेकिन इस चेर्नोबिल न्यूक्लियर प्लांट हादसे का असर अभी तक खत्म नहीं हुआ है। इससे फैले रेडिएशन की वजह से आज भी लोग शारीरिक अक्षमता के साथ पैदा हो रहे हैं।

On 26 April 1986, there was a massive explosion at the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant in Ukraine. This spread radioactive particles in the air. These particles spread from Soviet Russia to Europe. About 4 thousand people were killed in this accident and about three and a half lakh people had to migrate. But the effect of this Chernobyl nuclear plant accident is not over yet. Due to the radiation spread from it, even today people are born with physical disabilities.
